Tassel Depot Chosen for T-Mobile TikTok Toss Your Cap Challenge

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, colleges and universities across the country had to close down their campuses and shift students to online classes. While this was one of the best ways to keep students safe, it was not entirely good news for students in graduating classes. The closures meant students weren’t able to go to their graduation ceremony. The class of 2020 would be robbed of an event that to many is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Tassel Depot stands with the class of 2020 and has happily supported graduates to make this time in their life as special as possible. Whether that’s supplying them with graduation accessories for their DIY graduation ceremonies at home or hosting our own graduation cap design contest on Instagram, we have been maintaining the celebratory spirit.

That is why we are so proud to have played a part in the T-Mobile Toss Your Cap challenge campaign in support of the class of 2020! At the end of May, T-Mobile launched a social media campaign that gave graduates a symbolic send-off and the opportunity to do their own cap toss using graduation caps topped off with bright magenta tassels from Tassel Depot.

"The class of 2020 is uniquely poised for greatness as the first virtually graduating class, so we're eager to partner with iHeartMedia and provide a few words of empowerment to give students a well-deserved celebration, in an equally unprecedented way.To honor their achievement and help keep tradition alive in these trying times, the Un-carrier is bringing everyone together on TikTok to proudly toss those caps high AND support fellow students through an incredible cause. Cheers to the class of 2020!" – Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile 1
