Announcing a new annual scholarship opportunity
Tassel Depot's - Tassels 4 Education® Annual Scholarship
We will award 4 scholarships annually to graduating high school seniors who are either applying to or accepted by an accredited college or university, or currently enrolled college students with one year or more remaining in their education.
How to Apply for the Scholarship
3 simple steps
Step 1: Review the prompt!
Time is Precious to Everyone. Many of us have found ourselves asking for "5 more minutes". If you could have just a little more time at your school, what would you do with it?
This year’s prompt is ...
“ What I would do with my extra time in school? ”
Step 2: Create your project!
CREATIVE WRITING: Essays are acceptable but don't feel limited to a typical essay; tell us about what you would do with my extra time in school with your imaginative words. No minimum word count. Essays should not exceed 1,500 words. Please use 10 point Times New Roman.
Let your talent loose and let your creativity flow!
Step 3: Submit!
- Fill out this PDF form and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
- 2.5 minimum GPA, an official transcript will be requested once the finalists are chosen
- Letter of recommendation. Please provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer, clergy, or friend.
Deadline: May 31st, 2018, 11:59p.m. EST
Your college or university must be in the United States of America.
Plagiarism is prohibited. We look forward to YOUR submission.
Terms & Conditions
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be graduating high school seniors planning to attend a college or university, or currently enrolled full- or part-time at an accredited college or university in the United States of America with a year or more remaining in their education. Additionally, students must have met all of the requirements described on this web page.
Employees of Tassel Depot and their families are not eligible to participate. Submissions must be received before the deadline of May 31st, 2018, at 11:59 pm EST in order to qualify for the scholarship program. Mailed applications must be postmarked by that deadline.
By submitting your project, you agree that Tassel Depot may use your name, school and display your project on our website, printed, or digital materials. No other contact information we collect will be used without your explicit permission obtained via email beforehand.
Choosing a Winner
- Submissions will be evaluated by our judges only after all submissions have been received. The merit of entries will be determined based on creativity and persuasive voice as it relates to the prompt.
- 2.5 minimum GPA, an official transcript will be requested once finalists are chosen.
- Letter of recommendation: please provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer, clergy, or friend.
After carefully reviewing the available information on our site, applicants may also email scholarship chair Roger, email@example.com with further questions. Tassel Depot plans on having cascading winners. 1st place being awarded $1000, 2nd place $750, 3rd place $500, and honorable mention $250.
If the scholarship committee at Tassel Depot feels as though there is not an entry that meets the standards of a winning submission, they may not honor 1 or all of the 4 awards.
The winning entrant will receive, upon verification of eligibility criteria as described above, receive his or her one-time scholarship disbursement of $1,000, $750, $500 & $250 in the form of a check from Tassel Depot to the approved school or university, listing the student as the beneficiary, depending on individual school "outside scholarship policies." Winners will be contacted by July 20th, 2018 and funds disbursed after that date. It is the recipient's exclusive responsibility to ensure that funds are received by the school or university. Recipients should notify us if that does not happen within 30 days of the date the check is issued.
Tassel Depot reserves the right to discontinue the Tassels 4 Education ® scholarship program at any time without any notice. This promotion is void where prohibited.
