Graduation Honor Cords
Graduation Cords and Honor Cords
Honor cords are tokens graduates are awarded for various
academic and non-academic achievements. Graduation ropes can signify a
graduate’s membership to certain honor societies, fraternities, or sororities.
Some schools provide students with grad ropes during major events in their
college experience such as freshman convocation or ceremonies conducted by
specific departments.
Graduates graduating with honors will often be given pairs
of honor cords. At some universities, one pair of cords indicates cum laude,
two pairs indicate magna cum laude, and three pairs indicate summa
cum laude.
Unlike graduation
tassels and honor
stoles, graduates can traditionally wear more than one cord at a time. Nothing
will make you standout from the crowd during a commencement ceremony than walking
down the stage draped in a collection of brightly colored graduation honor
cords.
Graduation ropes are long, thin, and soft with tassels on
each end. Tassel Depot has an extensive selection of graduation cords in your
choice of solid colors or color combinations. Shop our honor cords and custom
