Whether you are celebrating a graduation, birthday, anniversary, or bridal shower, a tassel garland is a great addition to any party décor.

If you are creating a Graduation Tassel Garland we recommend choosing traditional colors, such as gold, white and black, or using your school colors. If you are making a tassel garland for any other occasion you can choose any colored tissue paper you prefer.

First you need to gather your supplies. You will need:

• Tissue Paper (which ever color you would like) • Scissors • Decorative Tape • String or Twine

NOTE: One piece of tissue paper will make four tassels.

Step 1: Unwrap your tissue paper and lay on a flat surface.

Step 2: Fold your tissue paper in half lengthwise.

Step 3: Then fold in half widthwise. Then fold again widthwise.

Step 4: Cut the tassel fridge stating from the bottom, unfolded side. Cut upward until you are about 2-inches from the band. The fridges can be as thin or thick as you would like.

Step 5: Unfold the tissue paper ones and cut in half from the top of the fold to the end of the fringe. This will give you three pieces, cut the large piece in half. This should give you four piece in equal size.

Step 6: Take each piece one-at-a-time and roll the uncut area lengthwise. Make sure that your fringe does not get tangled. Once rolled, twist the center tight and folding in half while twisting in opposite directions – this will create a ‘loop’ at the top.

Step 7: Use decorative tape to wrap around the loop to secure the tassel.

Step 8: Repeat this process until you have completed your desire amount of tassels.

Step 9: Use string or twine to create your tassel garland. Make a simple knot after the addition of each tassel to the garland, this will secure them in place.

NOTE: The distance for each tassel is completely up to you, however, Tassel Depot has found that three inches works rather well.

Step 10: After all of your tassels have been attached, your tassel garland is ready to be shown off!
